Location - Gillingham

Salary- Competitive

Hours - Weekly working hours are 37 weekly:

Monday 8:00 am till 4:30 pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Friday 8:00 am till 1:00 pm (no break)

Do you have a degree in engineering or a relevant business discipline?

Do you have strong product knowledge of Fuel Injection Equipment (FIE) components or systems?

Our client is a leading global manufacturer with an exceptional reputation, specialising in advanced technologies. They arelooking for someone who is qualified, has relevant experience in automotive, hydraulics or aeronautical industries and with strong communications skills. They need to be able to communicate effectively with customers, as well as present information to seniormanagement /leadership. The ability to apply FMEA technology is also a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the assigned functional and project core teams, following the EOS framework and procedures
  • Execute tasks required to meet core team and project objectives, (cost, quality, and timing)
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation for internal and customer use
  • Present technical status in internal reviews and with customers and suppliers
  • Provide clear analysis and summaries for decision-making
  • Apply engineering standards, procedures, and methodologies to execute project activities
  • Analyse technical gaps in requirements by reviewing specifications and BOMs
  • DFMEA generic vs Application-specific specific
  • Use of Simulations, 3D CAD models, 2D Engineering drawings with core team
  • Identifying application-specific feature requirements
  • Define validation plan to meet requirements
  • Track and co-ordinate engineering activities to project timing requirements (PDP)
  • Prepare Product / System release documentation
  • Assess risk using established FMEA methods
  • Lead design preparation and design reviews as per PDP plans and project timing
  • Review and contribute to the Lessons Learned process

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a suitable engineering or business discipline.
  • Proven experience in working with customers
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information at all levels of the business
  • Significant product knowledge for FIE components or systems
