Project Manager - Social Housing

A fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Project Manager with a proven track record to join my client's team working extensively across the social housing sector. You will be responsible for the management of multiple project initiatives and delivery teams. To be successful you will plan and manage the delivery of business systems solutions and associated applications within agreed timescales using a recognised project management methodology.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee the portfolio of business IT projects, monitor progress, and report on the overall portfolio to manage business expectations.
  • Directly manage specific projects, ensuring timely and effective implementations through matrix management of IT and Business resources.
  • Provide leadership in project management methodologies and processes, utilising Prince2 (Practitioner) or Agile PM approaches.
  • Offer expert knowledge and support to internal and external resources for consistent delivery.
  • Work closely with Business Partners to specify, develop, and deliver appropriate systems.
  • Attend, contribute to, and run project boards and/or steering groups with main business stakeholders.
  • Guide third-party project managers engaged to deliver IT business projects.
  • Manage project budget, communications, and large teams including developers, Business Analysts/Partners, external suppliers, and contractors.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with senior decision-makers and managing service delivery through 3rd parties.
  • Demonstrable track record of successful medium to large scale Technology project implementations.
  • Experience managing project budgets up to £1M within social housing sector.
  • Qualified Prince 2 Practitioner with experience in SCRUM and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong system development process knowledge and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in the social housing sector and with large Housing Management Systems such as Northgate or Universal Housing.
  • Ability to identify system improvement opportunities and undertake application development and configuration.
  • Working knowledge of information security policies, processes, and procedures.
