The role:
This team are looking out for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward-thinking team. Your mission will be to deliver cutting-edge Azure projects and to nurture the growth of our current infrastructure, which encompasses network, systems, telephony, and desktop platforms.
Day to Day of the role:
- Collaborate with key suppliers to support and manage the network environment.
- Translate business requirements into technical deliverables, staying ahead with industry trends.
- Provide expertise in Microsoft Azure environments, as well as networking and telephony systems.
- Maintain network security to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business systems.
- Manage robust monitoring and alerting systems for the network.
- Enforce and maintain a comprehensive network patching scheme.
- Liaise with suppliers for quotations and manage enhancements and upgrades through change control.
- Establish, update, and maintain comprehensive technical and system documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and supporting a range of IT solutions in a multi-supplier environment.
- Ability to provide technical assurance of supplier designs and proposals.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in supporting Cloud and On Prem Services including telecoms, data networks, and Server Infrastructure Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, PowerShell, Exchange.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Expertise in troubleshooting complex IT Solutions.
- Knowledge of network/firewall technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products & technologies – Azure/Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint.
- Administration experience with Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Experience with Microsoft Server Clustering, SAN, and NAS storage administration.
