I am recruiting for a temp to perm HR Advisor based in Norwich

Job Summary: The HR Advisor will play a crucial role in supporting the HR function within our educational institution. This position involves providing comprehensive HR advice and support to staff and management, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall development of a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Assist in the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the organization.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and effectively communicated to all staff. Provide training and support on HR policies as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Performance Management: Support the performance appraisal process, including providing training and guidance to managers and staff.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
  • HR Projects: Participate in and lead HR projects aimed at improving HR processes and practices within the institution.
  • Data Management: Maintain HR databases and generate reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Proven experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Burgundy book knowledge.
