Hourly Rate: £12.80 to £15.25 depending on experience nd qualifications

shift times: 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am

Role Overview: As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care and support to our residents. This role combines hands-on caregiving with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that our care assistants are guided and supported in providing the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities of a senior care assisant:

  • Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Administer medications and monitor residents' health and well-being.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of care assistants, promoting best practices and high standards of care.
  • Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a care setting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or currently working towards it).
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to caregiving.
  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
