Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers macroeconomics, asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We examine relevant trends in financial markets, the economy and society, and highlight risks and opportunities for the Bank, its clients, and stakeholders.

You will be a member of the European Economics team, leading and supporting the macro and political coverage for France and contributing to the analysis and forecasting of macro dynamics for the European economy. You will be responsible for modelling and written reports, and presenting these to internal and external audiences.

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the coverage of French macroeconomics and politics
  • Contribute to the analysis and forecasting of macro dynamics in Europe
  • Support the development of the European Economics team's economic data and analysis toolkit and provide thought-provoking and original content
  • Contribute to European Economics team publications and collaborate with other parts of the Deutsche Bank Research group
  • Modelling and written reports will be complemented with client meetings

Your skills and experience

  • An established Economist with experience covering France and Europe , with experience in financial services and/or the policy sector (government, central bank, think tank)
  • Experience analysing European inflation, labour markets and European Central Bank policy would be valuable
  • Fluent in French and English
  • A track record of idea generation leading to economic analysis that provides relevant insights for market participants
  • Strong presentation and quantitative/econometric skills as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills which enable you to market your ideas to the internal and external client base
