An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Post Completion Conveyancing Assistant to join my client, an award-winning Legal conveyancing team.
The prime role of the Post Completion Conveyancing Assistant is to provide full support regarding the conveyancing post-completion process. You are expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative, whilst communicating effectively with partners, colleagues, and clients.
Person Specification & Requirements:
- 2 years' experience and working knowledge of the full post completion process
- Strong word-processing with a working knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages
- Experience using Proclaim Case Management System is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy whilst working at a fast pace
- Strong time-management and ability to prioritise own workload
- Pro-active and 'can do' attitude
- Knowledge and experience of Lexcel and CQS Compliance would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Submission of SDLT5 return
- Lodging AP1 to Land Registry
- Dealing with Requisitions
- Updating clients and lenders on the current registration
- Dealing with post completion requirements from Freeholders and Management Companies
- Updating LMS & Lender exchange
- Residential purchases of flats and houses
- Maintaining good file management including closure of files as soon as reasonably practicable to ensure a true live file count
- Be actively involved in ensuring compliance with CQS
- Effective implementation of anti-money laundering legislation and KYC, procedures, and compliance
- Adhering to process and procedures as directed by the HOD
- Undertake specific training when required and have overall responsibility towards self-development
- Be actively involved in ensuring compliance in Lexcel and other standards
- Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm's and client's documentation and information by complying with GDPR
- Be actively involved in business development activities and networking
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Directors as necessary for other fee earners and employees
