Job Title: Legal Secretary - Litigation

Location: Harrow

Contract Details: Part-time position (2-3 days a week) | Can be full-time for the right candidate

Salary: Competitive salary of circa £30,000 per year (pro-rata)

About Our Client:

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their friendly team in their Harrow-based office. As a part-time position, you will provide crucial secretarial support within their litigation department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative team environment, expanding your skills and knowledge in litigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete various daily tasks such as audio typing of documents, preparing documents for court, opening files, and general admin
  • Assist with file management, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
  • Maintain communication with clients and other parties involved in the litigation process

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, particularly in litigation
  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures and terminologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in using legal case management software
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
  • Familiarity with court filing systems
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in litigation
  • Experience working in a fast-paced legal environment

Technologies:

  • Proficiency in using legal case management software
