Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Individualised Assistance: Work closely with students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional support as needed.
- Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials and resources, ensuring that classrooms are organised and conducive to learning.
- Student Engagement: Foster student engagement and participation in classroom activities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining classroom discipline and implementing behavior management strategies in line with school policies.
What We're Looking For:
- Relevant Qualifications: Hold a relevant qualification such as an NVQ2/NVQ3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents.
- Passion for Education: A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of students.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the varying needs of students and support different teaching styles.
