Finance Business Partner

Robertson Bell are working with this committed and growing charity to assist in the search for a permanent Finance Business Partner. In this role you will be the key finance point of contact for a Regional Director and will partner with 15 budget holders. You will advise on all aspects of financial management and assist in the control of assets and resources.

Duties will include:

  • Deliver a comprehensive business partnering service, including offering continuous proactive reviews, analysis, and operational decision-making support to enhance trading performance.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of monthly management accounts in collaboration with the management accounting team.
  • Provide insightful commentary on accounts, highlighting key business issues.
  • Compile rolling reports on risks, issues and opportunities in partnership with divisional management.
  • Foster strong partnerships with key business stakeholders.
  • Enhance financial awareness among budget holders through support and training.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial performance improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with operational staff to develop realistic, yet challenging budgets and forecasts in accordance with the timetable.
  • Support the process of annual fee and pay reviews for all employees.
  • Partner with the internal auditor to enhance financial compliance and controls, leading the implementation of recommendations.

This permanent Finance Business Partner will report into the Head of Finance and will manage one junior member of staff. You will be based out of their West Oxfordshire office with two days of office attendance required. Please note it is essential that applicants hold a full UK driving license and are willing to travel between sites within Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire on monthly basis.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a recognised accounting Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Have proven experience in preparing, reviewing and presenting monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and forecasts.
  • Be proficient in Excel to intermediate level.
  • Have experience in training and development of non-finance colleagues.
  • Be a strong communicator with the ability to convey financial information clearly.
  • Hold a full driving license and a willingness to travel between sites.
