Resettlement Programme Co-ordinator - HMP Channings Wood

Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Resettlement Programme Co-ordinator at HMP Channings Wood.

This role is part-time, working 29.6 hours per week.

Day to day duties of the role

  • Organisational and administrative work.
  • To comply with any awarding body requirements in relation to External Quality Assurance within the curriculum area.
  • Accurately completing registers, learner enrolments and completions.
  • Manage learner behaviour and challenge negative behaviour appropriately, following prison processes.

Required skills and qualifications

  • A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills including an up to date knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Highly motivated and setting high standards for self and others.

About HMP Channings Wood

Located in Devon, HMP Channings Wood is an acclaimed Category C men's prison operated by His Majesty's Prison Service. The facility, focused on security and safeguarding, includes a main site and a vulnerable prisoner's unit. It possesses four industrial workshops, vocational training courses, educational activities, and comprehensive offending behaviour programs. At HMP Channings Wood, individuals are equipped with functional skills such as English, mathematics, IT and Essential Digital Skills, and vocational skills such as painting and decorating, barbering and construction; skills and knowledge that can help people to make a successful transition back into society.
