Salary: £26,421 - £28,770 per annum pro rata (+ weekend enhancement)

  • Full-time: 37 hours per week (4 on 4 off shift pattern, 7am-9:30pm)
  • Part-time: Flexible hours available! Specify your preferred days/hours in your application.

Location: Your choice of Thorn Turn, Houghton Regis OR Sandy Depot, Sandy

About the Role:

Are you passionate about maintaining order and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic in our communities? As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you'll play a vital role in keeping the authority's roads and car parks safe and accessible for everyone.

You'll be responsible for patrolling designated areas, educating the public on parking regulations, and issuing penalty charge notices when necessary. Full training and a Level 2 Award for Parking Enforcement Officers will be provided to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an efficient and effective parking enforcement service to minimize parking contraventions through the issuance of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs)
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Road Traffic Law, Traffic Regulation Orders, relevant legislation, and Civil Parking Enforcement practices and procedures
  • Efficiently process PCNs and issue permits as required

Your Role

  • To provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement in order to minimise parking in contravention through the issue of Penalty Charge Notices in appropriate cases.• You will be conversant with Road Traffic Law, Traffic Regulation Orders, relevant legislation and Civil Parking Enforcement practices and procedures. • The processing of PCN's and issuing of permits
