What this role is all about:

This role is responsible for leading the organisation in the design and development, tendering, implementation and ongoing management of healthcare networks and pathways. In addition the role holder will have management and oversight of provider insights, utilising data on all aspects of provider performance. Supporting the business in understanding opportunities to improve its provider utilisation and engagement.

You will be experienced in the design, procurement and delivery of networks and/or pathway management in a private healthcare provider or insurer environment. With significant exposure to the roll out of effective process that require external engagement and significant internal management of key teams and stakeholders.

You will be comfortable with analytics (interpreting and sharing insight) and using data to drive your decisions. You will be managing two key functional areas within the department and will be comfortable managing 2 senior team members. Travel will be required, typically on a fortnightly basis between our different UK office locations and to hospital and facility sites.

Key Actions

  • Support the Provider Management and Strategy Director in meeting company needs by leading on the delivery of networks and pathways, driving up directionality and supplying insight (for now and colleagues use) that drives our provider strategy and utilisation
  • Management of the entire process of networks/pathway development, from working with key stakeholders on design, to effective RFI and RFP processes to understand market capability and opportunity, to implementation of all aspects of the pathways/networks
  • Drive innovation in internal processes and the utilisation of technology to ensure that ‘customer' needs are being met from functional processes linked to areas of responsibility
  • Responsibility for the distinct Network and Pathway, and the Performance functions and driving these areas to deliver for the business in expectation and need, setting clear strategy and objectives for direct reports and overseeing team and functions performance
  • Drive innovation and directional performance buy working with trusted 3rd parties to meet evolving business needs (e.g. Doctify, Healthcode), ensuring that here is oversight of broader business strategic needs and how our partners can support the organisation as well as the department
  • Development of procurement and contractual documentation and standards in partnership with the legal and clinical functions where appropriate to ensure network requirements meet every business and member need as well as ensuring controlled delivery of quality and commercial outcomes
  • Oversee our broader directional performance and strategy,
  • Directly and indirectly (via direct reports) engage the leading healthcare hospital and facilities, consultant bodies and key industry influencers in the UK market to maintain relations, drive supplier performance and engage on mutually beneficial projects to drive improved member experiences and manage costs

Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:

  • Previous experience (>2 years) of network/pathway management at a senior level
  • Experience of procurement and contractual development within networks and pathways
  • Previous experience of leading functions from both a people and strategy perspective
  • Track record of leading successful change initiatives/projects/programmes
  • The ability to interpret and present complex data
  • The ability to successfully present ideas and initiatives to others using a variety of tools and methods
  • Experience in engaging with and influencing internal and external organisations at all levels
