I am delighted to be paired with a global Law firm in their search for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Accounts Payable specialist to join a great firm.
Day duties of the role:
- Take full ownership of the accounts payable function.
- Support the team with recording firm expenses through Concur.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices.
- Record and reconcile credit card transactions and direct debits.
- Verify and process external professional fees and disbursements.
- Handle refunds and credits in compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash.
- Upload payments into the banking system and submit them for approval.
- Check, format, and submit taxi/courier invoices to the US for uploading.
- Organize and upload digital invoices into the accounting software.
- Generate month-end reports for management and audit purposes.
The right candidate will have:
- Knowledge of VAT processes.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly motivated and driven to provide excellent service to both internal and external clients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
