Project Accountant, Burnham, Buckinghamshire (Hybrid working)
£45- £55kpa plus benefits including a 10% bonus
The Project Accountant will support Project Mangers in the financial management of projects. The Project Accountant will ensure maximised returns by being involved in the full lifecycle of a project from the initial bid phrase through to project close out at agreed returns.
Key Duties:-
- Support project manager's by providing analysis / reports for assigned projects.
- Proactively challenge project estimate at complete values, risk registers and schedule.
- Maintain important relationships with all functions of the business.
- Ensure all projects are trading in line with IFRS 15.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, a robust controls environment is in place and that approval processes and delegated authorities are adhered to. Ensure audit issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Be a promoter of change during the business transformation phase by challenging the status quo.
- Evaluate business processes, recommend and implement improvements.
- Proactively challenge the assumptions inherent in financial data presented in order to make an appropriate judgement as to its validity and value.
- Fully support month end close process
The successful candidate will be qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience. Ideally have experience on working on projects, however the key areas are business partnering, forecasting, budgeting and management accounting experience.
