A fantastic opportunity for a Payroll & HR Assistant to join an Ongar based business on a 1 year maternity cover contract.

You will be joining an organisation with 1,250 staff across the UK, 16 of which are based at the remote site in Ongar.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have experience in either Payroll or HR roles, both would be an advantage!

This role will be the backbone to the department and to succeed it needs someone who is hungry to learn, can apply themselves consistently, works well at times of pressure and is passionate about good accurate record keeping.

Summary & Benefits:

  • Payroll & HR Assistant

  • 1 Year Contract
  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (35 hours)
  • Office Based
  • Up to £28,210 per annum

Key Duties:

  • Employee and payroll record keeping and filing of correspondence.
  • Basic payroll calculations, e.g. Tax, NI, SSP, SMP is desirable.
  • Data entering on payroll weeks, i.e. worksheets, timesheets.
  • Processing leavers and producing P45s.
  • Responsible for ensuring all reports, timesheets are filed accurately on weekly basis.

About You:

  • Payroll or HR experience.
  • Car Driver due to location.
  • Can start within 1-2 weeks.
