Financial Controller

Our client, a leading care service company based in Berkhamsted, Herts has a new position for a Financial Controller to join their team. Managing the Finance Department and reporting to the Executive Chairman, duties will include: -

  • Manage the finance department on a day-to-day basis
  • Supervising 3 direct reports
  • Preparing statutory accounts
  • Produce monthly management accounts and reports
  • Improve processes and reporting
  • Maintain and improve cash flow forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax, accounting, auditing, and external reporting requirements
  • Leading and coordinating the annual external audit
  • Prepare and monitor performance against forecasts and budgets
  • Provide analysis and strategic insight to senior management on a proactive basis
  • Seek to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of processes and controls
  • Deliver all company secretarial responsibilities
  • Experience in using Xero and Sage will be advantageous although not essential
  • Ad hoc duties

To be considered for this role candidates must have experience managing a small accounts department.
