English Teacher

We are looking for an English Teacher to deliver high-quality English education to pupils in Years 8-11 and to provide support to teachers of other year groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons and adapting the curriculum to ensure it is accessible to all pupils.
This is a particularly exciting time to join our team as we are in the process of developing a unique vocational offer for pre-16 pupils with SEMH needs. The incoming English Teacher will be joining at a pivotal point and will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the school's development.
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with a specialism in English.
- Experience in a special education setting is ideal, but applications from mainstream settings are also welcome.
- Ability to tailor teaching to meet the strengths and needs of pupils.
- High expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
- Strong subject and curriculum knowledge.
- Willingness to engage with external test preparation when necessary.
- Commitment to providing appropriate levels of care and support.
