Location: Rugby Borough Council and surrounding areas

Work Mode: Hybrid (1 day working from home)

Pay Rate: £12.38 - £13.47 per hour (PAYE)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Assignment Duration: 3-6 months temporary

Job Overview:

Rugby Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Independent Living Coordinator to support residents within the council's Independent Living Schemes. This role focuses on promoting health, well-being, and independent living among residents, ensuring they can remain in their own homes with the necessary support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team to provide housing management and independent living services.
  • Conduct regular well-being visits to residents and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Promote and facilitate health and well-being activities in communal areas.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to ensure comprehensive resident support.
  • Perform health and safety checks and ensure compliance with council policies.
  • Manage and maintain the council's lifeline equipment and other assistive technologies.
  • Collaborate with various council services and external organisations to enhance service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with older or vulnerable people, with a strong understanding of their needs.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting independent living, such as dementia, falls, and isolation.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • A calm, approachable demeanour and common-sense approach.
  • Full driving license required.
  • IT proficiency and understanding of Health and Safety regulations are desirable.
