As an Accounts Assistant you will.

  • As an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant, you'll be working within a small team of 3, working for a highly experienced Financial Controller and supporting the department.
  • Responsible for creating Sales Invoices for clients and sending to clients, answering queries where required.
  • Posting Purchase Ledger invoices checking against Purchase Order / PO Numbers to ensure that they are accurate.
  • Setting up PO Number and new suppliers on the system
  • Liaising internally with departments with regards to Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger queries
  • Bank & Account Reconciliation to ensure the system is accurate.
  • Management of Employee Expenses and the Credit Card Expenses.
  • Assisting with the VAT Return.

The candidate:

  • Must have experience in an Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role (or similar).
  • Experience of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Bank Reconciliation is essential.
  • Ideally have used Xero, Sage or similar accounting software
  • Proficient with MS Office, including MS Excel.
  • You'll need to be highly organised with a keen eye for deadlines and have the confidence to communicate with other departments.
  • Reconcile daily sales and prepare daily sales report
  • Purchase ledger processing.
  • Posting bank transactions.
  • Invoice finance administration.
  • Allocating bank receipts & credit notes promptly
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
