Senior Practitioner - Family Support and Safeguarding

We are seeking passionate Advanced Practitioners to join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people using strength-based models of social work practice and motivational interviewing.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work within the Family Safeguarding model, collaborating closely with a multi-agency team to address family issues efficiently.
  • Support children and their families through various plans and proceedings, including Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, PLO pre-proceedings, and Care Proceedings.
  • Build trusting relationships with children and families to support positive engagement and achieve better outcomes.
  • Participate in unique, reflective supervision sessions with all Family Safeguarding practitioners to ensure responsive plans for children and families.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Access to a car for visiting and supporting children and families.
  • Committed to relationship-based social work.
  • 2+ years experience as a social worker/senior social worker in a similar role
