Senior Operations Coordinator - Air/Sea/Road required to compliment our team.
We are scaling our business and require an experienced freight forwarder to join our Company, our main business is 70% air freight import and exports with the remainder built around time critical road freight and sea freight imports and exports. We are growing the road and sea freight departments so we are in need of someone with vast experience to help with it's development, this is a fairly varied role and for the right person a fantasic challenge to be part of a vibrant Company that is continually growing.
You will become a key member of our operations team, actively involved with imports, exports and cross trade shipments from start to finish. This will include quoting the customer by the appropriate mode of transport i.e. air freight, sea freight, road freight or courier. You will be managing the whole process of the shipment and invoicing the customer once POD has been received. A customer centric approach is key to this role, and we operate on the highest levels of customer service to ensure that each and every shipment is handled safely and on-time.

Responsibilities
You will work to strict deadlines and coordinate multimodal imports, exports and cross trade shipments from start to finish. This will include as follows but not limited to:-
- Arranging collections/deliveries
- Liaising the carriers (airlines, GSAs, shipping lines, road hauliers)
- Issuing documents (MAWB, HAWB, BOL, CMR)
- Submitting Export Declatations (using iCustoms & e-Customs)
- Quoting, Rate Procurement and Invoicing Customers
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in freight forwarding
- Excellent IT literacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of Customs procedures
- Freight Software we use:- CargoForwarder, iCustoms & e-Customs (in-house training provided)
- IATA Dangerous Goods by Air is advantageous but not required.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30, weekends may be required to work, which will be remunerated accordingly.
