Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Location : Slough
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join a warehouse team for our client in Slough. As a Warehouse Assistant you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and organised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders
- Store goods in designated locations within the warehouse
- Pick and pack orders for shipment
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a computerised system
- Keep the warehouse clean and organised
- Assist with inventory counts and audits
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Desired skills:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours:
This is a full-time temporary position until October, possibly longer. Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.
Pay:
£12.64 per hour
