This Payroll Officer role is a key member of the Accounting & Finance team based in Hastings/Rother area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payroll operations and can offer a full-time role if you also have Accounts experience.

Description

As the Payroll Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries
  • Preparing reports for the Accounting & Finance Department
  • Collaborating with the HR Department on employee issues
  • Assisting with year-end processes, such as tax returns
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding payroll information
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Proven experience in a payroll position
  • Excellent knowledge of payroll software and MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
