Job Description: Finance Director
Location: Harrow
Salary: £150,000 & above
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
About the Role: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to lead their finance team in Harrow. This role involves overseeing a team of 8 employees in the finance team responsible for handling 100,000 transactions weekly related to the payment of local taxes and fines. Additionally, there are 150 remote workers collecting fines and 100 employees in a contact centre collecting payments over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
Lead and mentor a small team of 8 finance professionals, ensuring efficient handling of 100,000 transactions per week.
- Fiscal Oversight:
Maintain stringent audit controls and ensure the proper management of public funds.
- Data Analysis:
Analyse fiscal data to drive improved collection rates and financial performance.
- Reporting:
Prepare and present financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with Private Equity (PE) houses and Venture Capitalists (VCs) as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a senior finance role.
- Strong understanding of audit controls and fiscal management of public money.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and support remote teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on improving financial performance.
- Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to various stakeholders.
- Proven track record of initiative and dynamic thinking in previous roles.
- Experience in dealing with PE houses and VCs is highly desirable.
