ITSM Process Manager - Insurance

We are currently recruiting for an ITSM Process Manager with Insurance / Financial Services experience to join one of our Global Insurance Clients on a 6 month contract.

Please note this role is Inside IR35 and Hybrid working, 2 days on-site in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and support the Service and Controls Manager and Head of Technology Service Management with improvements to ITSM capability, reporting, controls, and process support.
  • Share best practice and coach on ITSM, increasing the internal body of knowledge.
  • Develop quality, management information, presentations, and reports
  • Drive the necessary improvements to address gaps and recommendations relating to ITSM across the Audit, and IT controls
  • Chair, govern and evolve the local Change Management Process, ensure appropriate risk and impact assessments are embedded and performed.
  • Oversee and evolve local adoption of Major and High Priority Incident Management
  • Act as an escalation point for major incident and problem management; Take ownership of critical incidents, coordinating with resolution parties, and establishing effective communication between stakeholders for post-incident reviews.
  • Drive adoption of Problem Management and Continual Improvement
  • Evolve and manage service reporting to effectively govern ITSM processes and provide timely management information for Monthly reporting.
  • Own and evolve the service introduction and transition practices.

Skills and Experience

  • Seasoned Service Management professional with at least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally in a demanding and highly regulated financial services environment.
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) qualifications - preferably ITIL Expert, or intermediate qualifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a passion for service excellence and a track record of continuous service improvement
  • Leadership ability, team spirit with exceptional skills in motivating, coaching and supporting team members to deliver success outcomes
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the production of quality, visually appealing, exec-ready PowerPoint slides and reports as required.
  • Practical experience of working in an Agile team and culture
