Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be supporting a successful PLC housebuilder as they look to recruit a Regional Finance Business Partner for their Central Division with includes Greater Manchester & Merseyside.
Based in Rochdale, you will work closely with the regional management team and operational colleagues across the region. Alongside this, you will also need to build a strong working relationship with your colleagues in the central finance team.
The key purpose of the role is to be responsible for providing financial leadership, insight and support
for operational teams in the region.
You will be responsible for ensuring that financial performance is appropriately communicated across the region and provide analysis and understanding around both financial and non-financial KPIs in order to help the region achieve its growth targets.
You will also have a key role in the budget setting and forecasting process, working with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Central Finance team at site, Regional and Divisional levels.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to present complex financial information to operational teams in a simple, clear and concise manner, both verbally and written. This will also require the ability to extract and manipulate data, both financial and non-financial, from the COINs ERP system.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with the Regional Managing Director providing and interpreting financial and operational KPI's to help inform operational decision making and driving actions where needed
- Support and challenge regional operational teams in assessing new site appraisals, tracking existing site performance and overheads management both in a financial and non-financial context
- Production of comprehensive monthly regional reporting pack, including financial reports provided by the Central Finance team, and commentary covering operational and financial performance in conjunction with the Regional Managing Director
- Responsible for leading on the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for the Region
- Specific projects and other analysis as required by the Divisional Managing Director, Homes FD, CFO and wider business
Key skills / qualification
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with ideally 2-3 years post qualification experience
- Previous experience in a finance role with commercial or business partnering exposure
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to develop strong relationships with key operational stakeholders
- High attention to detail, ensuring integrity in financial reporting and written reports
- A strong IT user able to deal effectively with a high volume of data
- An enthusiastic and ambitious team player with a strong work ethic
