Learning Support Assistant - Primary School - Waltham Forest
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity to work with young learners, supporting their educational and emotional development in a welcoming school environment.
Role Overview:
- Full-time Learning Support Assistant role
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with children across Key Stages 1 and 2
- Supporting students with a range of needs, including learning difficulties, ASD, and SEMH
- Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Providing tailored support to help students reach their full potential
Requirements:
- Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a similar role
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and parents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable:
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Relevant qualifications in education or child care
