A brilliant, globally-renowned scientific research organisation is in need of a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to help navigate the Commercial Finance team through a period of change, overseeing a team of 5 or 6 qualified accountants and helping define strategy and a target operating model. This interim role will report into the Head of FP&A for an initial six-month period, will pay £500-600/day (inside of IR35) and will be based in the Central London office two days per week. As the Senior Commercial Finance Manager your role will include:
- Leading a team of six qualified accountants providing finance business-partnering support to leadership across the organisation including budgets, forecasts and some month-end work
- Overseeing Operational Expenditure
- Working closely with the SLT on producing a target operating model for the Commercial Finance Team
- Supporting and mentoring others across the Commercial Finance Team
The ideal Senior Commercial Finance Manager will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA/CIPFA or equivalent)
- Have experience leading commercial finance teams within fast-paced environments
- Be a champion of equality and diversity
- Have experience leading teams through periods of change
