Salary: £30k

Term: 1 month with possibility of extension

Job Summary:

As a Membership and Events Administrator, you will play a vital role within a small and dynamic team, handling a variety of administrative tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting member enquiries, updating membership records, and assisting in the administration of our group events. This position is at the heart of our Membership Team, providing essential support to professional conservator-restorers in the UK and internationally.

What you will do:

As a Membership and Events Administrator, you will oversee shared inboxes for membership, events, and communications, responding to membership and delegate enquiries with a polite, friendly, and helpful attitude. You will review and update member records in Icon's Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform, produce weekly membership reports, and ensure high data accuracy. Additionally, you will prepare and issue email campaigns, write and update content for the Icon website, and manage the events inbox. This includes setting up events on the Icon website, providing up-to-date information to event organisers, and responding to delegate queries. Financial reconciliation tasks will also be part of your responsibilities. Lastly, you will assist with other duties as requested by the Marketing and Membership Manager, the Policy and Programmes Director, or the Chief Executive.

**What you will need:

The ideal candidate should be qualified to GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, with experience working in a small team within an office environment and familiarity with updating databases. They should possess excellent knowledge of Office365 software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Drive. The candidate should have the ability to gather, structure, and present information clearly, accurately, and concisely, alongside a disciplined approach to record-keeping and maintaining high levels of data accuracy. Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise a complex workload in a busy environment are essential. Effective communication in a polite, friendly, and helpful manner, both in person and on the phone, is required, as well as diplomacy and tact in managing sensitive situations and maintaining confidentiality. The candidate should be willing to uphold Icon's values and adhere to the organisation's policies and procedures, demonstrating enthusiasm for promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace. They should also be able to work closely and collaboratively with a range of colleagues, including volunteers.
