Next Generation are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to work with a global leading manufacturer based in Kingswinford. As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for promoting a positive quality culture ensuring the delivery of quality components to meet customer requirements and quality expectations.

Working hours for the Quality Engineer:

Monday - Friday (7.30am - 4.00pm)

Duties of the Quality Engineer:

  • Lead and support in Continuous Improvement activities and culture change
  • Instigate & lead 8D/CAR teams for both internal & customer concerns including containment, Root cause analysis, Corrective action and Disposition of rejects
  • Raise internal, supplier and customer non-conformance reports including DMR/RMA's upon the Epicor computer system, and fill in all associated registers
  • Raise and review supplier corrective actions, reject back on supplier if not good enough
  • To collate PPAP documentation and generate customer PPAP packs including the creation of control plans / equivalent and FMEA's when required
  • To review, analyse and highlight quality trends to management based on factual data
  • To conduct internal and supplier quality audits and support the QM in Quality system tasks
  • To support in the delivery of quality training to other departments within the business and act as a quality mentor to the production team
  • The requirement to work with / at another company location when required

The successful candidate for the Quality Engineers position will have the following experience:

  • 3 - 5 years' experience within a Quality role is (Essential).
  • Experience working with precision machined components (Essential)
  • Ability to the use Quality tools such as RCA, 8D, NCR and CAPA (Essential)
  • Compiling PPAP documentation (Essential)
  • Ability to use handheld measuring equipment (Essential)
  • You will be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to communicate and build good relationships.
