A job opportunity for a recent graduate or passionate individual to join a specialist school as a Mental Health Mentor has become available. The role of a Mental Health Mentor includes supporting the children attending the school who are facing dilemmas regarding their mental health. The school provide education to children aged 4-19 with social, emotional and mental health needs. As a Mental Health Mentor, you will be responsible for guiding the students facing challenges and struggling with their mental health. This position would be a perfect opportunity for a recent psychology or criminology graduate to demonstrate their education and see how their degree can benefit vulnerable children. The school prides itself on its guarantee that students will receive tailored support and guidance throughout their educational career.

Responsibilities include:

  • 1-1 student support 8:30 - 3:30
  • Identifying trigger areas
  • Collaborate with on-site therapists and psychologists
  • Follow mental health and safeguarding protocols
  • Ensure maintained focus from students
  • Collaborate with teacher to customise lesson plans
