Multi-Skilled Carpenter

We are seeking a conscientious and enthusiastic Multi-Skilled Carpenter with a can-do attitude and a flexible approach to join our team. The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and broad experience in their core trade, with the capability to complete tasks outside their core competency. Professionalism, courtesy, and a commitment to maintaining high standards are essential. All candidates must pass a DBS and Police vetting check.
Day to day of the role:
- Perform a wide variety of carpentry repairs in residential, corporate, and civic buildings, including door fitting, kitchen installations, and minor plumbing.
- Diagnose and rectify faults within core and other trades related to repair requests.
- Communicate effectively with the help desk regarding job completion times and materials used.
- Support all trades to deliver a professional and safe maintenance and repairs service.
- Respond swiftly to high-priority situations and resolve them efficiently.
- Keep customers fully informed of all aspects of the work and manage any disruption effectively.
- Maintain tools, plant, and equipment in a safe, clean, and workable condition.
- Use a PDA to maintain accurate records of works undertaken, with photographic evidence as necessary.
- Participate in the call-out rota and maintain company vehicle standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of trade experience, ideally in the residential repairs sector.
- Competence in carpentry, with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in at least two other secondary skills.
- Experience with UPVC repairs and maintenance, kitchen and bathroom installations, and fire-door regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Practical approach to health and safety.
- Self-management and organisational skills.
- Full current driving license.
