Job Elements
- As a Master Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the manufacturing schedules.
- You will liaise closely with Production Manager and the rest of the supply chain and the Commercial Team for optimal production and supply schedules, supporting the operation department to optimise and sequence output in line with targeted goals.
- You will serve as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics and manufacturing departments.
- MRP runs interrogated and managed
- Set production plans and challenge production on the adherence to plan
- Collaborate with relevant departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs
- Periodically compare current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; use judgement to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed
- Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinate availability of raw materials, supplies equipment and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
- Produce weekly management reports
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years related experience
- Highly MRP literate
- Inventory management - analysis of requirement vs inventory position
- LEAN or other relevant qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of supply chain
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
