Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Haywards Heath
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time
Contract Type: Supply and Long Term.
**About the Role:
Randstad Education is looking for a committed and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in a primary school setting. You will work closely with the classroom teacher, providing tailored support to ensure the pupil can fully engage in learning activities and reach their full potential. **Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning needs, including adapting lessons and activities to their level.
- Assist with classroom tasks, ensuring the pupil is engaged and supported throughout the day.
- Help manage behaviour and provide emotional support where needed.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
- Keep detailed records of the pupil's progress and communicate with staff and parents regularly.
**Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, especially in a 1:1 or SEN support capacity, is highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- A flexible, positive attitude and a passion for supporting young learners.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
