The Opportunity
We are looking for a BSL Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with Deaf/hearing impaired children across various schools working within a very supportive team of professionals. The role is full-time with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.

- Duration - ongoing
- Rate of pay: GBP80 - GBP120 per day depending on qualification
- Hours - 08.30-4.30pm
Experience, Training and Qualifications required:
- Qualified Teaching assistant
- Previous experience working with Deaf/hearing impaired children and young people is preferable
- Use of specialist resources and technologies to support children and young people with hearing impairment
- Experience of using British Sign Language alongside speech to facilitate communication is essential.
To be eligible for this role, the potential Specialist Teaching Assistant must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references.
- Clean full UK driving licence
