Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to the assessment and review of students' progress.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver personalised learning experiences.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the students' social, emotional, and academic development.
- Support the development of students' communication, independence, and life skills.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a special needs setting is essential.
- A deep understanding of various special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare would be advantageous.
