Teaching Assistant Job Description:
A lovely small mainstream primary school in New Addington is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support their Reception class on a full-time basis, with an immediate start.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities for Reception-aged children.
- Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions to children in early years, ensuring they are meeting developmental milestones.
- Support the personal, social, and emotional development of the pupils in your care.
- Help create a positive and nurturing environment within the classroom, encouraging a love of learning.
- Aid in preparing resources and setting up activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning space for all students.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with Reception-aged children or in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding in a school environment.
