Role Summary
Your main responsibilities will include confidently and proficiently operating the laminating machine within the secondary print environment. Adherence to strict Health & Safety regulations and upholding the company's quality standards are paramount. You will ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality assurance testing, achieving your KPIs. Punctuality and professionalism are essential.
Pay and hours
From £12.40 per hour increasing to £14.70 per hour
Monday to Friday (40 hours) 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am rotating weekly.
Responsibilities
- Operate one of the company's lamination machines.- Ability to operate all machines within the department.- Ensure the correct works ticket is used prior to lamination.- Complete and sign all documentation on the works ticket upon job completion.- Understand the use and need of the Radius system.- Maintain a clean, tidy, and obstruction-free working area.- Embrace continuous improvement initiatives.- Communicate any faults to the Lamination Manager or Team Leader.- Operate in line with site health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, including BRC, ISO & A2 environmental.- Organise workload in line with the daily print programme, ensuring work meets targets and customer requirements.- Assist with production operations and equipment maintenance as needed.- Provide overtime cover when necessary.- Follow the cleaning regime and complete all documentation.- Undertake reasonable requests from management.Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
- Previous experience in a production environment is essential.- A reasonable level of maths and science is preferable.- Exposure to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards in a production setting.- Experience with lean manufacturing, such as 5S, is preferred.- Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic about producing quality products.- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet demanding deadlines.- Capable of working as part of a team and managing workload autonomously.- Keen to learn new skills and demonstrate a flexible attitude.- High attention to detail, including numeracy skills.- Personal accountability and a 'right first time' approach.- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial.- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rota basis covering days and nights.
