Terminal Engineer Responsibilities:
- Leading and implementing engineering projects.
- Enhancing business performance through engineering technology.
- Developing specialist engineering knowledge.
- Contributing to the development of Specifications and Departmental Bulletins.
- Providing engineering and technical support using evidence-based problem-solving.
- Designing and developing engineering solutions and communicating these to local teams.
- Managing project scope and specifications with stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Coordinating design and review activities and developing costed proposals.
- Supervising contractors, consultants, and suppliers, managing operational changes, and ensuring compliance with expenditure control.
Terminal Engineer Essential Skills:
- Thorough knowledge and application of Engineering Principles & Safety Management Systems.
- Professional Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering qualification (min. Degree/HND).
- Experience in project engineering and management through all phases.
- Contractor management experience.
- Cost management budgeting and control.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with high-hazard process plants.
- Knowledge of Process Safety and relevant industry and European/British Standards, including Pressurized Equipment, Vessels, Piping, Rotating Machinery, Fire Protection, Steam Systems, HV/LV Power, Instrumentation & Control, ATEX/DSEAR, Earthing, and Lightning Protection.
- IT System competencies (minimum MS Office).
