Package Details:

The successful candidate will receive a Salary of £40,000-£45,000 Per Annum.

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of this role is to act as a Paraplanner within the business. This includes performing senior administrative duties, client research, report construction, and client contact, ensuring the highest possible standard of client service. The role also involves working closely with Financial Advisers and IFA Administrators to support the client advisory process and play a key role in the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Researching advice solutions for new and existing clients.
  • Liaison with compliance (CATS) and technical (three-sixty) advisers to help develop advice solutions.
  • Ensuring completeness of information across the client file and Curo, including planning objectives and following up with clients and providers if information is missing.
  • Writing Suitability Reports, ensuring a consistency of information across a client file and standards are maintained.
  • Submissions to CATS, aiming for 100% file review and corrections (OVWs) to be answered in 5 working days.
  • Assist with the implementation of advice.
  • Keeping clients and the team updated with progress reports.
  • Ensuring fee and service agreements are implemented.
  • Preparation of cash flow plans.
  • Dealing with investments as appropriate.
  • Attending new client meetings when appropriate.
  • Helping the development of the new business process on Curo.
  • General admin duties, e.g. mail and scanning.
  • Projects as and when required, e.g. protection tools, calculators.
  • Provide product and provider updates to the team.
  • Update cash flow plans for existing clients and ensure assumptions are set to defaults.
  • Ensuring complete client records on CURO, e.g. Fact Finding, Products, Fees, ATRs and complete statements are on file.
  • Assistance in preparation for meetings and ad hoc client queries - e.g. performance/cost reviews.
  • Attendance at client meetings when appropriate and workload permits.
  • Studying for an Advanced Diploma and sitting the exams - the expectation of at least 1 AF level 6 exam per year.
  • Attending training courses provided to assist with study.
  • Managing own study programme and CPD record.

The Ideal Employee:

Relevant Skills/Experience

  • Diploma Qualified minimum.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a financial advice firm.
  • Great communication skills - oral and written.
  • Curo experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of Voyant, Cash Calc, Iress, Dynamic Planner, FE Analytics etc required.
  • Core IT competencies - e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Organised, motivated and keen to help a small, dedicated financial planning firm to grow and provide a high-quality service.
