Role Overview: They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join an enthusiastic team on a maternity cover basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Year 5 curriculum, a creative approach to teaching, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support the holistic development of each child.
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in a relevant subject.
  • Proven experience teaching at the primary level, ideally in Year 5.
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective practice.
