Our Client, Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, is seeking a Children's Social Worker to join their Team. Fantastic payrate of up to £35 per hour! Responsibilities of this role: To carry out in depth assessments of children and young people who have offended, taking into consideration any risk that they may present to themselves, others and the community. To co-ordinate service provision to meet the needs of such children within the Scaled Approach model. To directly supervise and enforce all relevant Court Orders on behalf of the Local Authority within the National Standards for Youth Justice. To carry out direct work with children and their families in order to meet their assessed needs. To undertake such work jointly with colleagues within the Service and from other agencies in appropriate cases. To refer young people and their families to appropriate workers / agencies that can meet their identified needs and to monitor their progress. To engage parents and children in meaningful and open working relationships to encourage their full participation in order to reduce the risk of further offending. To prepare and present information (both written and oral) to the Court. To maintain up-to-date records on all work carried out and to ensure good and effective communication with other professionals involved. To carry out reviews and statutory visits in accordance with National Standards and local procedures. To observe all Service policies and procedures in respect of Administration and professional practice. To observe all statutory regulations. To contribute to an office duty system on a rota basis. To attend regular supervision sessions and team meetings as required, taking an active part and preparing for each meeting. To attend all appropriate training that may be arranged. To contribute to policy making within the Service and to the review of service provision. To undertake such duties commensurate with the level of responsibility for this post. Requirements of this role: Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England. Must have minimum of 2 years' post qualified experience.
