A Tier 1 Construction and civil engineering contractor are recruiting a Works Manager to join their busy Southwestern Division.
These long-term projects are varied in their nature, could involve flood prevention and alleviation, marine protection, canal, or river restoration works.
The company has an outstanding relationship with the Environment Agency as part of a framework and has been awarded a large project in the Bournemouth area.
An opportunity has arisen for Civils Works Manager.
Reporting to the Delivery/Contract Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of Projects alongside the Project Manager and Project Team to deliver.
Your role will be to directly manage the planning and delivery of repairs and maintenance work ensuring that the programmes delivered are compliant with all regulations, best practice and, provide a cost-effective service.

The role holder will be required to supervise the activities of personnel carrying out works for UNS (which includes employees, ASW and contract workers) on a day to day basis to ensure that all activities are executed in a safe, cost effective and reliable manner inline with legislative and company procedures.
The role objective is to ensure that construction, demolition and decommissioning works are carried out to specification and by safe working methods.
The role holder shall work closely with the wider UNS team to support the characterisation, monitoring and transfer of waste.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, as a Working Foreman you will take on the role of supporting the Special Projects and Property Services Department with their ongoing works on a variety of projects of a maintenance and refurbishment nature.
