Role Overview: As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of planned and reactive building maintenance tasks across multiple sites. From general building repairs to plumbing and joinery work, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that their facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position offers the opportunity to work independently or as part of a team, making a tangible impact on the daily operations of the company. 7.45am - 5pm Mon to Thurs & Friday 7.45am - 1pm Your holiday entitlements are: 31 days per annum, incorporating fixed holidays to cover Bank holidays and Christmas shutdown. Key Responsibilities: Perform planned and reactive building maintenance tasks, including general repairs, joinery, tiling, painting, plumbing, and external works. Conduct planned preventative maintenance in accordance with set schedules to ensure the ongoing functionality of company buildings and facilities. Provide general facilities support, such as furniture assembly, site clearance, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across designated areas. Prioritise and manage workload to complete repairs in a timely manner, adhering to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Adhere to Company health and safety policies and procedures, identifying hazards and conducting risk assessments as required to maintain a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with unit managers to minimise disruptions and coordinate maintenance activities in accordance with operational needs. Assist the Facilities Manager or Head of Maintenance as required, undertaking additional duties or tasks as delegated. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in a building trade or property maintenance role. City and Guilds craft certificate in a construction trade or a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in a relevant trade or multi-trade building maintenance operations. Multi-trade skills qualification(s) or similar certificates of competence. Full UK Driving Licence. Forklift truck licence and/or licence to drive assisted lift equipment preferred but not essential.
