Joiner Hourly Rate: PAYE £15.51, Umbrella £19.13 Location: Barnsley, S71 Job Type: Full-time My client are seeking skilled Joiners to join their team and contribute to the delivery of various joinery works across our Major Adaptations & Programmed Replacements Projects. This role involves working as part of a team to deliver essential repairs and replacements to social housing properties, as well as completing major adaptation works for existing or new tenants. Day-to-day of the role: Carry out removal and renewal of kitchens (standard or adapted) with precision and attention to detail. Work collaboratively in a two-person team with a plumber to remove and renew bathrooms, shower rooms, and wet rooms. Perform internal second fix and first fix joinery to a high standard. Install fascia, soffits, and gutter work, as well as garage doors including frames. Conduct joinery repairs, including but not limited to floor boarding, door ease/renew, and kitchen unit repairs. Previous experience of carrying out Joinery work to a high standard on repairs and maintenance and refurbishment projects. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in joinery, capable of delivering work to a high standard with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team. Confidence in carrying out a range of joinery tasks. Basic plumbing skills or experience would be advantageous but not essential. Willingness to assist other trades as and when required. NVQ Level 2 in Joinery or equivalent Qualification. NVQ Level 3 in Joinery or equivalent Qualification/or willingness to work towards gaining the qualification. Benefits: A competitive hourly rate.
