The role of Backdock Operative in Harvey Norman is to work with management and staff, with the aim of providing the best possible service to our customers and stores. A successful Backdock Operative has excellent product knowledge, provides outstanding customer service, helps create a great experience for the customer, and is above all else enthusiastic in helping the team perform to the highest standards. This role is crucial for making Harvey Norman a great place to shop. YOUR JOB - your tasks will include: Responsible for operating and maintaining a clean and tidy backdock while keeping a safe and secure working environment. Provide the highest level of standards of customer service and act in a professional manner at all times. Ensure all deliveries are checked so that no substandard or incorrect goods are delivered to customers. Ensure that Goods Receiving and Dispatching procedures are followed at all times. Protect and secure Harvey Norman stock. Understand your department's action plans and support the goals and targets set out by your manager. Ensure all Health & Safety policies are adhered to in the warehouse. Other ad hoc duties as required to fulfil the Backdock Operative role. YOUR PROFILE - your knowledge, skills and experience include: GCSEs or equivalent is required. Forklift Training preferred. Experience working in a customer focused, fast pace, multidimensional industry. Preferably have 1-3 year's warehousing, construction or retailing industry experience. Picker certification advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Applications: Word, Outlook, Excel. Customer Oriented. Strong Communicator/Good Listener. Numerical & Logical Ability. Harvey Norman are currently seeking an experienced advertising/marketing professional to join our team in the role of Advertising Coordinator for our UK stores. Harvey Norman is a high-profile, leading-edge retail brand with over 300 stores worldwide selling furniture, bedding, appliances, and technology from the leading brands in the World. The role will involve the management and execution of all our advertising campaigns, working closely with the wider management and advertising team, product division teams, external brands and store managers. You will deliver offline and online advertising campaigns that drive footfall to our stores and visits to our website. In addition, you will focus on in-store marketing collateral, out of home and social campaigns. The role requires a fast paced, enthusiastic person with particularly strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in advertising and marketing. YOUR JOB - your tasks will include: Generate creative commercial advertising for Catalogue, Press, Radio, TV, OOH and digital. Communicate all advertising activity and provide proof of execution to relevant parties. Manage all point of sale and store signage requirements, including sourcing of new solutions to rate negotiation with print partners. Plan and execute OOH advertising campaigns, from identifying suitable sites to briefing graphic designers on creative and delivering to the media owner. Develop and coordinate store specific advertising projects. Facilitate the production of all advertising materials for projects allocated by management. Maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with internal teams ie. product and marketing managers, store network, e-commerce team, digital, photography and graphic design teams.
