Warehouse Operative Location: Hedon Road, Hull & Brigg, North Lincolnshire Working Hours - 8AM UNTIL 4PM ( MONDAY - FRIDAY ) SALARY DOE - £27,000 / £30,000 We are currently seeking experienced Warehouse Operatives to join our client's team at two distinct locations, (Hedon Road, Hull) and (Brigg, North Lincolnshire). As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operations of our client's warehouses/stores by handling, storing, and dispatching goods accurately and timely. Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, ensuring their integrity remains intact and verifying the correct documentation. Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, utilising established systems. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for timely despatch to both internal and external customers, including movement between our client's approved suppliers. Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Collaborate with team members at all levels to optimise warehouse processes and improve overall efficiency. Perform regular stock checks/cycle counts and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse & Logistics Team/Procurement Team. In addition to the key responsibilities, more general tasks include maintaining a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety and hygiene standards using lean methodology, 5's standards, and a clean-as-you-go policy. You will also assist in implementing security measures to safeguard warehouse and site assets and conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet established standards. We are looking for proactive individuals who can quickly identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to enhance warehouse operations. Promptly responding to any urgent requests or issues related to warehouse activities at both sites is essential. Operating within budgetary constraints and contributing to cost-saving initiatives when possible are also expected. Qualifications and Experience: FLT Licence (Counterbalance) Driving licence Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential. Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, with the correct certification. Handling goods and recording inventory. Intermediate computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
