My client is looking to bring on board and experienced Warehouse Shift Manager based out of there site in Coventry. You will oversee the warehouse operations during designated shifts. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of ensuring smooth and efficient operations while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The key responsibilities of the Warehouse Shift Manager based in Coventry are including but not limited to the following. Directly manage warehouse staff during assigned shifts, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed. Manage work flow to ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Oversee inventory management, including accurate counting, tracking, and replenishment of stock. Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all products meet company standards. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any issues promptly. Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, ensuring all machinery is in proper working order. Serve as a liaison between warehouse staff and upper management, relaying important information and addressing concerns or issues as they arise. Provide training to new hires and ongoing training to existing staff to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback, recognition, and disciplinary action as necessary. Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other warehouse activities, generating reports as needed. The successful candidate of the Warehouse Shift Manager based in Coventry will have the following experience, skills and characteristics. Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role. Demonstrated strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of effectively managing teams and driving performance. Possess excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exhibit clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement effective resolutions. Have familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control procedures, and safety regulations.
