Mechanical Technician Hampshire 6 Month Rolling contract £31ph Inside IR35 Due to the nature of the role & the industry you will be working in, you will be required to achieve UK SC Clearance We are looking for several Mechanical Technicians to form part of an MRO modification, servicing and repair team. This person must have served a recognized relevant trade apprenticeship or trade training equivalent, and be proficient in the interpretation of engineering drawings, workbook instructions, and technical manuals. Candidates must hold knowledge, within aspects of Ch47 aircraft maintenance, modification and repair to include skill and experience in both structural and mechanical system disciplines and must hold knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environment processes (FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH. Successful candidates will conduct the assembly, disassembly, and modification or repair of Ch47 aircraft primary structures and complex aircraft systems to include; hydraulics, flight controls, and propulsion. They will also perform maintenance activities, fault diagnosis and disturbed system functional tests. This may be at multiple locations. They will work with their peers to perform tasks associated with aircraft safe handling, maintenance and flight servicing. The candidate will be responsible to ensure established process adherence, accurate and timely work recording and contractual/regulatory compliance. This is a full-time role based at Middle Wallop. Responsibilities - Performs the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by conducting the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes Conducts assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment Proficient in troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and associated electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components Validates and verifies testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g. repairs test results applicable modifications and inspection results) Can work with their peers to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking towing system operations) Able to provide mentoring to peers and others Works under minimal direction Experience required - Ideally you will have extensive experience working on Ch47 Aircraft and be familiar with specifications and drawings. Have experience working within a team of aircraft technicians Ideally the candidate will have extensive experience working on Aircraft platforms and be familiar with specifications and drawing. Have experience working within a team of aircraft technicians Candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision with limited direction. Ensure that the needs of the children in your care are met with active supervision and attention throughout the day including breaks and lunch times 6. Use the resources available to plan and deliver a variety of activities with structure and enthusiasm that are age appropriate to the timetabled group 7. Encourage maximum participation of the children in the group 8. Get to know the children in your group as individuals - find out their interests and incorporate these into their day on camp 9. Take responsibility for general welfare and safeguarding 10. Ensure the safe use of equipment provided for your sessions and ensure it is packed away appropriately REQUIREMENTS 1. Have experience or qualifications working with children 2. Be aged 18 or over by the start date of your contract 3. Be eligible to work in the UK 4. Provide satisfactory professional/academic references 5. Be enthusiastic, caring and organised with excellent communication skills and be able to use your initiative 6. Be able to adapt to effectively deal with unpredictable challenges within the childcare setting 7. Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or have an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service 8. Attend a Virtual Assessment Event if you're new to Barracudas. (See Staffroom for dates) 9. Complete Online Training annually 10. Attend Induction Training Day ahead of your first working season (this will most likely take place within the 7-day period before your camp opens) 11. Assist with pack up at the end of camp
